Weekend Countdown will feature several custom-made jingle packages produced by recording
artist/producer Vic Allen of Jackson Mississippi. “It
was a labor of love to produce Mel’s musical sound for the Countdown. What most people don’t know is I listen to
Mel every night. (on “KIXY”) I was a loyal Mel Devonne fan before I knew about
this project.”

Weekend Countdown is produced by Collective Media currently based in the Chicago area. It reunites Mel Devonne with Glenn Cosby, who is
producer and writer. Cosby hired Mel and
produced his ABC shows for the first four years. Together
Mel Devonne and Glenn Cosby have over 25 years of network radio syndication experience. Cosby launched the ABC urban adult superstation
“The Touch” in 1990, which is still heard in over 80 U.S. markets. Mel Devonne
joined “The Touch” in 1992 as the host of the “Love Zone.”
